Eligibility:
- Competitors must be 14 years old or older on the day of the event
- Maximum grade 1 Kyu
- All Competitors must present a valid BJA licence or a BJA affiliated association licence at the weigh-in together with proof of grade.
NO CURRENT VALID LICENCE = NO CONTEST = NO EXCEPTIONS
Group A – male 2nd kyu and below – weigh in 1330-1400
Weight groups: -60kg / -66kg / -73kg / -81kg / -90kg / -100kg / +100kg
Group B – female 2nd kyu and below – weigh in 1330-1400
Weight groups: -48kg / -52kg / -57kg / -63kg / -70kg / -78kg / +78kg
Group C – male 1st kyu– weigh in 1330-1400
Weight groups: -60kg /-66kg /-73kg /-81kg /- 90kg / -100kg / +100kg
Group D – female 1st kyu – weigh in 1300-1400
Weight groups: -48kg / -52kg / -57kg / -63kg / -70kg / -78kg / +78kg
Groups C and D will be points scoring.
The tournament director reserves the right to combine categories if required.
Additional Information:
- Current BJA rules apply
- Medals will be presented throughout the day
- All competitors must always wear suitable footwear when off the mat
- Only matside qualified coaches with a valid card will be allowed matside
- Coaching will be allowed throughout the contests
- All players must weigh in with T-shirt and trousers with a 0.8kg allowance
- Videos and photographs may be taken on the day and used to advertise the event
In the event of any dispute either on or off the mat, the decision of the Tournament Director will be final.
