Category 1:
Juniors aged 8-15 years – Novice to 4th mon/6th kyu
1A – Boys 1B – Girls
There are no weight categories. All players will be sorted into groups by weight, age & grade. These will be single pools with all players receiving a medal.
Technical restrictions will apply. No armlocks/strangles.
Category 2:
Juniors aged 8-15 years – 5th mon/6th kyu to 7th mon/5th kyu
2A – Boys 8-11 years 2B – Girls 8-11 years
2C – Boys 12-15 years 2D – Girls 12-15 years

Category 3:
Juniors aged 8-15 years – 8th mon/5th kyu to 12th mon/3rd kyu
3A – Boys 8-11 years 3B – Girls 8-11 years 3C – Boys 12-15 years 3D – Girls 12-15 years
There are no weight categories. All players will be sorted into groups by weight, age & grade. Where possible these will be two pools into semi-finals and finals (single pools with be used if needed). Only those coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd will receive a medal.
Technical restrictions will apply in categories 3A and 3B only. No armlocks/strangles.
Category 4:
Seniors aged 14+ years – Novice to 1st kyu (not points scoring)
4A – Men Novice to 4th kyu 4C–Men3rd to1st
4E – Men open grade below 81 kgs
4G – Men open grade 81kgs and above
4B – Women Novice to 4th kyu 4D–Women3rd kyuto1st kyu 4F – Women open grade

Categories 4E, 4F and 4G will be ran as knockouts with repechage. Armlocks and strangles permitted.
